Hi, I’m Henry, the founder of Buildremote.

After a brief stint in the office from 2011 – 2013, I’ve worked remotely ever since.

I also ran a profitable, fully remote company from 2016 – 2022 with people across five time zones and just four work days per week. Until 2022, we boasted how only one employee had ever left the company (and it was to have a baby, so that was fair).

But that’s when the second person left the company – me.

I started Buildremote in late 2020 after reading bad advice after bad advice about how to run a remote company from people who just started working remotely. You know, ’cause of the Covid thing.

Since then, Buildremote has been useful enough to enough remote teams, that I jumped to it full time in 2022. And here I am…

I’m lucky to say over 1 million people will visit Buildremote’s website this year.

And our work has been *featured* in some pretty cool places:

(*If you’ve ever worked in marketing, you know “featured” means an article on the site has linked to my work. But hey, I’ll take it.)

And even more lucky to be with my family so much because of remote work.

My wife, Shannon, and I have worked from home together since 2017 and now we work from home with our two kids. We travel for about a month every summer and spend the rest of our time at home in San Diego, CA.

I’m not sure why you would still be reading down here. But just in case any of this sounded remotely interesting, let’s connect:
