Why I Wrote This Post (+ My Experience With No Meetings)

My meeting-free work schedule
My meeting-free work schedule

I work for myself here at Buildremote. It started out as a side hustle, but turned into my full-time work after a few years.

Here were a few of my motivations behind working for myself as a one-person company:

  • I could build the business remotely (no commute, no cost of office space)
  • I might never have a meeting again

In the picture above, you’ll see my calendar for a pretty typical week with no meetings on there. I use my calendar to block off work time versus non-work time, and to block off by the type of work I should be doing. But you won’t see many meetings at all.

I get that you may be looking for the same no-meeting + remote combination in a job. So I wrote this report to highlight the best options.
