BJ’s Wholesale Quietly Deletes DEI Page

BJs Wholesale DEI

BJ’s Wholesale Club quietly deleted its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) webpage on January 25, 2025. BJ’s “Inclusivity” page, formerly part of its “Careers” site, now shows a 404 error (“the page cannot be found”).

Here’s what you need to know about the state of BJ’s Wholesale Club’s DEI policy.

BJ’s DEI Page Is Removed

The company’s DEI page that used to sit at this URL – careers.bjs.com/inclusivity – is now gone. The page has been taken down.

As of February 18, 2025, the page does not redirect anywhere.

According to Wayback Machine, the page was live as recently as January 14, 2025. Here’s what the page overview said:

“Everyone is welcome in our club

BJ’s Wholesale Club is committed to advancing a culture in which all voices are heard and all team members can thrive. This inclusive culture is inherent to our values and success as a company.

  • $300,000+ Donated since 2020 from the BJ’s Charitable Foundation to organizations focused on advancing inclusion and diversity, including YearUp and Out & Equal.
  • Inclusion & Diversity Council: We push to ensure that we’re an inclusive environment where all backgrounds and experiences are celebrated.

Team Member Resource Groups

BJ’s Wholesale Club has several Team Member Resource Groups (TMRGs) that offer our team members opportunities to engage and connect with one another. Through events, workshops and discussions, these groups elevate cultural awareness and further drive a greater sense of belonging.

  • Great Place to Work Certified
  • Citizens of The World
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Pride at BJ’s
  • Rising Professional
  • Women’s Forum
  • Working Parents”

The careers web page’s source code shows a “date modified” of January 25, 2025, indicating that the “Inclusivity” tab and page were deleted that date.

BJs removes inclusivity page

By removing the public-facing page, we can assume that BJ’s is backing away from its DEI-related programs.

  1. Not happy with your DEI page removal and whatever else you’re doing against your non-white, and disabled customers. This will figure into my renewal or NOT – my relatives live at 60% poverty level because of racism – and we are expected to survive with limited economics and limited opportunity… So it is too bad that you’ve chosen to do this – and I know that my discontinued membership won’t mean anything to you, BJs, but what little money I have won’t continue to come to you, which means a lot to me because that’s all I have.

    1. You make a blanket statement of racism being responsible for your relatives’ poverty. OK, I hear you and I want to understand better. Tell me please how racism has DIRECTLY contributed to your relative’s’ poverty. TIA

  2. As I am researching where to spend my dollars after NOT renewing my Sams Club membership, I see that I can bypass BJ’s and head over to Costco. Thanks for this information.

    1. Costco publicly supports DEI by a Board resolution. BJ’s erased their DEI page from their website. I’m confused by your comment.

  3. We do not support DEI initiatives & have just joined BJ’s & will be encouraging our family & friends to do the same! We will be cancelling our Costco membership. Thanks BJ’s!

    1. Ha! Joke is on you. BJ’s inclusive culture page is back up and their Equal Opportunity hiring practice is still in place on their career website

  4. We do not support DEI initiatives & have just joined BJ’s & will be encouraging our family & friends to do the same! We will be cancelling our Costco membership. Thanks BJ’s!

  5. I’m planning where to spend my
    Money
Looking for establishments that support my values
    Costco is a go
I’m not sure about BJs looking for additional clarity

  6. The Culture page is back up and still uses “inclusive” and their EO statement remains on their career page

  7. Until they apologize for using DEI- the RACIST and ANTI white illegal religion of the Marxists, I will not shop BJs or Costco or any other biz that supports the evil cult of Communism.
