Is Sam’s club considered a part of Walmart. Have the same policies regarding DEI?
Yes, Sam’s Club owners and holding company is the same as Walmart; their policies are the exact same.
Yes, same ownership and policies.
It’s called Sam’s Club because the founder is SAM WALton
DEI = Didn’t Earn It
There a this misinformation that DEI is not based on merit.
Exactly. They’re not hiring people for jobs with a high school diploma that requires an MBA. They’re hiring qualified people from a diverse pool of candidates. What don’t people get about that? They hear “DEI” and automatically assume the worst.
Exactly! I had a “friend” infer that the Blackhawk Helicopter pilots had intellectual disabilities. I told her she was embarrassing herself.
Hear what they are saying but I see what their doing.
Well, it’s just like turning the word “woke” into something negative. They do these things to appeal to all the bigots and crazy “religious” in this country, of which there are apparently many! They use the fear of anyone different to achieve their goals of robbing us blind and stuffing their own pockets.
Only a terrible person would publicly proclaim to be against diversity, equity, and inclusion. Let me guess: another persecuted white male?
Very ignorant response. Why do you think DEI was created? It was because women, non whites and disabled people were discriminated against and not treated equally. Our country has fought for equality. Lazy, ignorant, unmotivated white men who feel victimized and THEY don’t think they should have to “earn it” feel threatened by women, people of color and disabled who are smart and work hard to get where they are. Guaranteed when they take the rights away from those people those jobs that are available will not be filled because people who think the way you do live in the basement and leach off of other people.
DEI= Definitely Earned It
I can play that game too
People who are against DEI do not know the standards are not watered down or the history of how diversity benefits everyone from inventions, medicine, technology, etc. Who wants to eat the SAME food every day every meal? Some people fear change because they may have benefited from being privileged all their lives. Remember, WWJD? Yes, I earned and paid for my several degrees. I treat others like I want to be treated. DEI is about treating people fair…period.
keep drinking the Kool aid
Please explain that statement – I hear all this about DEI but do we really know what it means. For some reason people think that it only involves black people but really it is for all people. Picture you are a child and every child is tall and your child is short. We can not include the short child because he is short. He has a right to play just like the tall children. That is what DEI means we are ALL included to play.
Just being a woman puts me on the DEI list. You don’t know what you’re talking about. People with disabilities are on the list. It’s not minorities. Read something.
disabled, disabled parking, changing tables for babies in bathrooms, ramps, Right, they didn’t earn it, but yet they live it. Before you post, check your facts.
You obviously don’t understand DEI, whether through willful ignorance or through intentional messaging from your “news” sources of choice.
When employers are drawing from a diverse pool of talent and the job goes to someone from a different background than yours, that doesn’t mean they are discriminating against you, it means that person was more talented and skilled than you. It is literally a merit based system, it just affords opportunities that people like you think shouldn’t be afforded to the “others.”
So, what is your expectation then? That companies only hire from white, straight, cisgender, Christian men? Because that is absolutely what you sound like.
So which part of diversity, equality or inclusion do you hate? I hope you weren’t a DEI hire lol
You are actually talking about most of the white men throughout history 🤪
Try again – Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
DEI is not requiring you to fill an ethnic quota it is saying you will not hold race, gender, religion against someone when hiring look up the definition before spreading misinformation
Diversity isn’t about race and gender. If you have dyslexia, an amputation, ADHD…and you were over looked because of it, you are a candidate for DEI. DEI was used for Midwestern applicants whose parents were farmers. Why? Because they were low income and overlooked. They had the grades, however, they were poor and didn’t have the finances to pay for the tuition.
In the year 2025 we expect folks to self educate … We can all do better!
Dear Bob, who hurt you? Live and let live. Want more from life? Go out and get after it! Be willing to work for it vs. seeking to be an over-seer taking the most while doing the least & minimum effort. It seems as if you think DEI is only about the childhood stereotypes you were taught which you never challenged by stepping out of your comfort zone and belief in a world long gone depicted in old black & white films. I don’t blame you though because you’re a product of your tiny environment. I challenge you to start interacting with people who are different than you in some way. Imagine you need an organ to live. Would you care if the person was from a diverse background? Don’t be silly man! You think someone’s taking your country. Remember, it was already someone else’s long ago!
What about Bj’s wholesale club?

What about Lands End, LL Bean and other e-tailers?
Do you know if Kaiser is committed to DEI?
Why are Black people included with LGBT+? Black people and Gays people are NOT the same culturally. Of course, there are Black Gay people, who should be included in the LGBT+ conversation if that is suffice for them. However, ALL Black people are not Gay and are not a part of the LGBT+ community. Quit submerging our value to predicate something or someone else! I’m tired of it. We are Black and we have never gained the allowances that other cultures WERE allowed. Including LGBT+ Communities. Please just let us be…BLACK!
The “B” in LGBTQ stands for “Bisexual,” not “Black”.
DEI includes the following:
1) race
2) ethnicity
3) gender
4) sexual orientation
5) disability
6) age
7) religion
8) socioeconomic background,
the B stands for Bisexual not Black 🤦🏻♀️
Dear Black Girl,
What about women and girls period? I would say they are the largest group discriminated against. and you are part of that.
LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and others such as intersex) people have been discriminated against for a long time. And people of color have been discriminated against for a long time. Women have been discriminated against for a long time. The whole concept of DEI is that everyone is equal! Only our qualifications should be considered for employment. Companies that are deleting DEI would only do so because they want to go back to an age of discrimination. So let’s all be real about that. And to be sure I’m answering the question in your comment, no one is saying that all Black people are gay, or that all gay people are Black. What we’re saying is so many minority groups have been adversely affected by a long history of discrimination.
On another note, does anyone know which truck stop chains are keeping their DEI policies?
And I didn’t see Cracker Barrel as far as restaurants on either list but from checking their website, I’m happy to see they still appear to have a strong commitment to DEI e.g. work groups for various employees, including LGBTQ+. And I have felt very welcomed as a customer so they will be keeping my business if I need an extra place to stop.
Can we please get an updated list? I know some of these companies have “bent the knee” and decided to scrap their DEI policies. Apple comes to mind. Also I didn’t see Petsmart on your list. I believe they are committed to supporting DEI at all levels.
I didn’t see Visa on this list and I’m curious about Costco’ s adherence to the Visa card as their CC of choice for their customers. I just opened a Costco account specifically for their commitment to DEI. I’ve had Sam’s Club and Walmart cards for many years and I’m ready to ditch the accounts because of their DEI policies.
YEP…
We switched to Costco this week…
You can get a refund from Sam’s when you cancel
like 98 % of their board said they would stand firm on there DEI policy
I’m with you Carolan. I closed my Lowes account. I like the work of Taylor Do-It Center so they’re getting my business when I have to shop DIY for my home. They’re about community and as the Queen (Latifa) said, you and I “T-Y” ( Thank you).
You can take out Chase, Citi Bank, and Best Buy. They rolled backwards.
Does AFLAC belong on this list? They have a long, proud history of inclusion, notably at the highest levels of the company.
Citigroup sent out a company wide email ( from Jane Fraiser ) this week rolling back our DEI …
Thank you. I removed Citigroup.

TradeStation supports DEI
Thank you for this list. I want to support businesses who support me.
In the video game industry I know there’s DEI initiatives. Which Game companies support this weird woke ideology?
I am looking for a pharmacy that supports DEI? I can’t seem to find the information.
Walgreens
Walgreens as far as I know.
@Brad: Most supermarkets and wholesale clubs on this list also have in-house pharmacies. I go to Kroger for everything and if they falter, I’ll switch everything over to Costco.
P.s. Kroger is MASSIVE. They operate under different brands depending on what region of the country you are in. Where I live, they actually go by Kroger. Out west, I shopped at King Soopers. In SoCal I shopped at Ralph’s. In the upper Midwest I shopped at Mariano’s. They’re all Kroger. Full list below ⬇️
