Fibercove Coworking Space In Austin: My Review
My Review Of Fibercove Austin
I visited Fibercove on Friday, October 6, 2023 @ 1:30 pm.
Note: I was not allowed to take pictures. The owner/front desk person is pretty old-school, so she didn’t get what I was doing. I didn’t take that as a bad thing – it fits with the vibe of the coworking space.
Rating: 4.4 starsFibercove in Austin is a straightforward, no-nonsense coworking space. It’s a place where most seem to be here for head-down, solo work without distractions. The interior is clean and functional, though some areas can feel dark, and lacking in natural light. During my visit on a Friday afternoon, the space was fairly occupied but not overcrowded. Who it’s for: Fibercove is ideal for the focused, solo entrepreneur who is more about getting down to business than socializing or enjoying the frills of fancy coworking places. I ranked Fibercove as the fifth-best coworking space in Austin. |

Community & Vibe
It was the most full of all five Austin coworking spaces that I visited.
To me, that indicates that members find it a useful space.
The owner is an old-school woman who has owned the place for 12 years. She’s done a good job upgrading equipment (like monitors and standing desks) and upgrading spaces (like podcasting studios and call booths), but it’s a straightforward place to work.
I’m sure there is a community feel at Fibercove, but that’s not what the owner is going for (like a WeWork or Industrious would).
- Location: South Central Austin (simple, strip-mall feel)
- Members:
- Mix: small teams, entrepreneurs, remote workers
- Atmosphere:
- Quiet, focused work
- Everything you need, nothing more
- Dark (not a lot of natural light)
- Easy and functional (free parking, easy to get to by car)
- Events: It says they have networking events (but I don’t get the idea that’s the purpose of the space)
