GE Aerospace cuts DEI program

GE Aerospace has quietly removed its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) webpage as of February 12, 2025. Cincinatti.com first reported the story.

GE Aerospace DEI Page Is Removed

The company’s DEI page that used to sit at this URL – careers.geaerospace.com/global/en/inclusion-and-diversity – is now gone. The page has been taken down and now redirects to a generic culture page.

According to Wayback Machine, the page was live as recently as January 26, 2025. Here’s what the page overview said:

“At GE Aerospace, we believe diverse teams and perspectives are essential to inventing the future of flight, lifting people up, and bringing them home safely.

We are committed to putting processes in place to help every member in our organization be as successful as they can possibly be. Fostering inclusion not only aligns with our core values, but also plays a pivotal role in ensuring all employees feel respected, included, and empowered to reach their potential. This work enhances our competitiveness, attracts a greater pool of talent, generates value for our customers and stakeholders, and drives innovation and excellence.”

With the removal of the public-facing page, we can assume that GE Aerospace is backing away from its DEI-related programs.

GE Aerospace’s Move Speaks To A Bigger Trend

Some private companies have chosen to back off DEI on their own.

Others have cut DEI with the cover of changing politics.

But then you have the government entities and government contractors in a third category. GE Aerospace fits into that category.

Simply put, some companies are operating illegally according to a new executive order. On top of that, any company that relies on government funding or is a supplier/vendor to the government could get cut if it doesn’t back away from DEI.
