CG Oncology Leaves California For Texas

CG Oncology, the publicly traded biotech company behind bladder cancer treatments, has relocated its corporate headquarters from Irvine, California, to Dallas, Texas.

The company, which recently had a market valuation of about $7 billion, moved its headquarters to Pegasus Park earlier this year.

The move gives CG Oncology access to Dallas’ growing life sciences ecosystem, along with talent, investors, strategic partners, modern facilities, infrastructure, and lower costs.

  • Former headquarters: Irvine, CA
  • New headquarters: Dallas, TX
  • Market valuation: Approximately $7 billion
  • Industry: Biotechnology / Life sciences
  • Work model: Remote-first

The company’s new headquarters is located at Pegasus Park, a roughly 26-acre Dallas campus focused on life sciences, research, and entrepreneurship.

For CG Oncology, the Dallas location will support:

  • Corporate and administrative work
  • Leadership and business operations
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Company meetings
  • Employee gatherings and events

The company’s Vice President of Communications and Patient Advocacy, Sarah Connors, said Dallas provides access to talent, investors, strategic partners, and a growing life sciences industry.

“Dallas provides CG Oncology with a strategic home within one of the nation’s fastest-growing life sciences ecosystems.”

Connors also pointed to Pegasus Park’s research institutions, healthcare innovation, talent, and connectivity as factors supporting the company’s long-term plans.

The move is consistent with CG Oncology’s remote-first culture.

Why Texas?

CG Oncology cited several advantages to establishing its headquarters in Dallas.

The company said Dallas provides:

  • Proximity to major research institutions

Those institutions include UT Southwestern Medical Center and the University of Texas at Dallas.

“As we continue to grow, Dallas positions us well to foster collaboration, attract talent and advance our mission of improving outcomes for patients with bladder cancer,” Connors said.
