2023: Home Depot Cut Its DEI Team By 50%
Home Depot was one of several companies to reduce the size of its DEI teams by 50 percent or more, according to a Washington Post article that cites Revelio’s data.
July 2024: Home Depot Removed 2 Supporting DEI Web Pages
According to Wayback Machine, Home Depot had three supporting DEI-related web pages that it linked to from its main page in June of 2024:
- Associate Engagement
- Community Partnerships
- Supplier Diversity
By August of 2024, the links to those sub-pages (you can see them below) were removed.
The first two pages – Associate Engagement and Community Partnerships – were taken down from the website entirely.
- The Community Partnerships page now redirects to the Home Depot Foundation page
- The Associate Engagement page now shows a 403 error (the public is blocked from viewing the page).
The third page is still active.
This move is consistent with other companies that want to be compliant with changing regulations, but don’t want to completely scrap their DEI teams and policies.
Summary
Home Depot took steps in 2023 to reduce its DEI team. It quietly removed some supporting DEI content from its website in 2024. However, as of February 2025, Home Depot still has multiple, active DEI web pages.
