According to the report, Instagram CEO, Adam Mosseri, hopes the shift to full-time office work will lead to fewer meetings and more tangible product experimentation. He has encouraged teams to prioritize launching prototypes over producing formal presentation materials and documentation.

A Meta spokesperson clarified that the new five-day office requirement applies exclusively to Instagram and will not affect Meta’s other apps, such as Facebook and WhatsApp.
