The Best New Orleans Coworking Spaces (I Visited 3)

New Orleans Coworking Spaces

I was in town in October of 2023 to find the best coworking space in New Orleans.

  • I researched every coworking space in New Orleans (downtown and close by)
  • I contacted 6 spaces
  • I visited and reviewed 3

After researching and seeing the coworking scene in New Orleans myself, here are my recommendations (grouped by my interaction with each). Click a link below to navigate to the category you’d like to see:

Spaces I visited | Contacted but didn’t visit | Chose not to visit but still look good

But, why should you trust Buildremote’s coworking reviews?

Coworking Space ReviewAs you search for coworking spaces, you’ll find multiple articles like the “18 best coworking spaces in X!” and “24 best spaces in Y.” Here’s the truth…

  • None of the writers have ever visited any of the spaces
  • Some are coworking space directories and only include ones listed on their site
  • Others have reviews, but they always say 5.0 stars

Then, there’s my coworking review method. Whenever I visit a new city, I…

  • Research every coworking space in the city
  • Contact 5-10 top candidates
  • Visit and review 3-5

I’ll always note the ones I visited versus chose not to. I’ll always show my average pictures (you can get the professional shots from their websites), and I’ll always give an unbiased review.

Scale New Orleans: Coworking Space Review

  • Rating: 4.8 stars
  • Location: 612 Andrew Higgins Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130
  • Website: Scale New Orleans
  • Review: Scale New Orleans is an artistically vibrant space, ideal for individuals in art, design, or engineering. While private offices fully booked as of late 2023, its location and amenities make it a coveted workspace for individuals.
  • Who It’s For: A mix of 60% small businesses and 40% individuals, especially artists, engineers, and designers. The space offers an engineering workshop and various work zones catering to different noise preferences.
  • Pricing: $350 per month for a Dedicated Desk.

3. Maroon

Maroon New Orleans Coworking Space

  • Rating: 3.9 stars
  • Location: 1206 St Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70130
  • Website: Maroon Workspace
  • Review: Maroon is a coworking space focusing on Black entrepreneurs. It offers a compact but well-equipped environment with a podcast studio and dedicated mailboxes. The rating comes in lower because it is not for everyone and it has limited space. If you are interested in this one, you’ll rate it higher than 3.9 (it just doesn’t have mass appeal for most coworkers).
  • Who It’s For: Black entrepreneurs and Black-owned small businesses.
  • Pricing: $250 per month for a Hot Desk membership.

Spaces I Chose Not To Visit (But Still Deserve A Mention)

The following coworking spaces look good, but for several reasons, I chose not to visit. But, they still might fit your needs. These are the reasons I usually choose not to visit:

  • Too niche for my audience (it’s an incubator more than a coworking space, it’s too far out of town, it focuses just on the food industry, etc.)
  • It’s a chain and I’ve visited their spaces in other cities

The Stables

The Stables New Orleans

Why I didn’t visit: This place looks amazing, but it has private offices and semi-private desks only, no open-desk coworking options.

    • 1222 Annunciation Street, New Orleans, LA 70130
    • 1239 St. Thomas Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

  • What Stands Out:
    • Private offices and dedicated desks only (they do not offer open-desk coworking)
    • Multiple buildings (like a small campus)
    • Event space
  • Pricing: Need to call for pricing

  • What Stands Out:
    • Botanical garden courtyard
    • Shower (if you want to work out while at work)
  • Pricing: The Monthly Common Space Membership is $205

Visit The Greenhouses’ website.

Regus (Multiple Locations)

Regus New Orleans

Why I didn’t visit: If you’ve seen one Regus you’ve seen them all. But, they are the biggest player in New Orleans coworking, so it’s worth looking into.

  • Location: (multiple)
  • What Stands Out:
    • 6 Regus locations in and around New Orleans
    • Access to all Regus offices with the coworking option
